Hmm, I don't know if you've ever heard of a band called Showbread. They've got an interesting sound and you just might love them. (: Here's a favorite song of mine.

I'm Breaking Promises, Just Like He's Breaking Hearts.
Sup Kids,!
I broke my promise to myself, I know. I should've been blogging instead of finishing summer assignments...I know. But when you've got a mother like mine you don't even mess around with those types of things. Ha, whatever. Summer assignments suck and that's all I'm gonna say on that issue for now. As for school starting, I like it so far. HEAVY EMPHASIS on the "so far" part of that. No kidding, I love school when it starts but by the end of the year I am OVER IT. Hah, The only fantasmical thing about this year is....drumroll...OFFCAMPUS. Thank GOD for passing the TAKS test and all the beautiful eating-somewhere-other-than-clemens perks that come along with it! My first day off campus will be tomorrow, thank goodness. Three days in that sea of death they call a cafeteria gets old...REAL FAST. Man.
And ANOTHER THING, I just realized how much band rules our lives. Here's the thing, band kids tend to have dreams about band...peculiar? I think not. Let me give you a little insight on a band kids day.
7:25 am- Band Practice
9:15 am- Change for school; complain about how sweaty you are from band.
9:30-4:00- Other classes; talk about bandrelated activities
On tuesdays, 4:30-6:00- Band Practice
After 6, We get home and complain about how tired we are...from band. Do homework...sometimes. Then sleep...and dream about band. Then we do it all over again. Unless its fridays, then we have runthroughs...for band. Then a game. Then we go have dinner...with other band kids of course. You see these things rule our lives?! Band happens to be aka a cult. Yeah, we have that nickname. And a violent one at that. We also like to mosh in the hall to cadences (: I also can't hear out of my right ear very well anymore thanks to Justin and those God Forsaken Cymbals! But in all fairness, I chose to stand right next to the drumline in the first place. Band will be mighty interesting.
Did I mention that me and Taylor Swift have kindred souls?! And I found my new protege for guard. (: Shawna Mobley Dearrrrr. (:
Anyways, this post has gone fairly randomly for too long. I must bring this to a stop...and shower...and sleep...because I have band practice. (:
Au Revoir,

Some Say I'm Schizo,(:
This will be a rather long post, so brace yourselves readers. (:
Today was my last official day seeing the band kids altogether before school starts, and I wonder. What would I do without them? Would my summer be the same if I didn't go to the much dreaded band camp? I'm not going to waste a summer and find out. This is a much awaited post, at least for me and Joe. (he's been wanting me to post for awhile) My computer needed its fan replaced, and thanks to Alan and the bandhall, it was indeed replaced for me. Once again, the question comes to mind "What would I do without band kids?" They provide everything I need. Food, Shelter, Laughs, Open Chest Matches, Kisses on My Cheek, EVERYTHING. Including, TONS of topics for this blog. Check It, One Two, Here Goes Nothin.
Tarkening: Tanning And Darkening.
As you can see, I'm black. BUT not super dark because of one other race that flows through my veins. I darken in the summerband sun, but I also tan/golden? So I had to make up a new word for it, thus came the word Tarkening. The band library is full of new words.
Talking To Myself:
I don't know why it's necessary, but I almost HAVE to just to do everyday tasks. I'm pretty sure I don't have ADD or anything, but I really do get off focus quite easily. Today while working on summer assignments, I found myself EXPLAINING the article I was reading to myself. Like, I SWEAR i'm not schizophrenic but some would say I am? I'm an unfortunate case, I tell you.
Hugs:
I'm slightly addicted. If you don't give good hugs you're dead to me. Not really, but I'll find someone who gives better hugs.
This Post:
I feel like it wasn't up to par, so I'm just going to have to post again tomorrow? I could probably write something WAY better than what I just did, but I needed an update post before school started. I guess I should do a blog each day I have left of summer, Hmm. I'm promising to myself now. (:
